DJ Timotéo Gigante hosts a new series of dance events with guest DJs. We will explore the earthly roots and celestial fruits of human sound & movement…with reverence for the sacred sovereignty of all cultures. Each event will offer a dance class(es)and live accompaniment before the 3 hr DJ dance set. This month we welcome DJ Bank$hot as our resident selector. Expect a boomerang of sounds from traditional Afro-Cuban/House to funk, soul, disco and future ritmos.

Award winning Touring Dance Artist & Cultural Ethnologist, Kimberly Miguel Mullen (M.A.) teaches Sacred & Popular Dance Workshop from Cuba, Brazil and Trinidad & Tobago in celebration of freedom, joy, and unity through cultural dance & community!
Through the sacred ceremonial dances of our indigenous ancestors from Africa and the perseverance of African slaves who survived the transatlantic slave trade and the atrocities of colonialism, we will explore the retention & survival of African diaspora Yoruba (Ketu) cultural practices in Cuba and Brazil through sacred ritual movement from
the West Africa and Nigeria.
